N-trig is making some more waves in the industry with its DuoSense technology now having full multi-touch capabilities designed for large format displays. N-trig became popular with Tablet PC users when they introduced their technology on Dell's first tablet, the Latitude XT.

The DuoSense technology combines pen and zero-pressure touch for mobile and fixed computers into a single device. These Multi-touch displays are becoming more and more popular from the iPhone, to notebooks and of course with Tablet PCs, so it is no surprise to see it becoming available on larger displays.

The full multi-touch is claimed to make using a computer even more intuitive and natural, enabling users to:

  • Handle documents on the computer desktop like on a real desk, moving or pushing them aside with your hands
  • Make sketches and scribble notes using a pen, thanks to the new pen input capabilities
  • Shuffle photos with both hands
  • Play games with multiple players touching the surface simultaneously, big for gaming

N-trig will be debuting its new DuoSense system at the SID International Symposium in Los Angeles this week. This technology is aimed toward large format displays and so far it has been working on displays up to 22-inches. This new technology will be all the rage if they can keep the price-tag low enough.

Check out the video below of the N-trig DuoSense technology in action:
