Getac updates V100 fully convertible notebook

today Getac announced 7 updates to the V100 fully rugged convertible notebook today, increasing everything from processor speed to storage capacity. Updates include the following:

 

  • Processor bumped from 1.2GHz Merom to 1.4GHz Penryn
  • FSB increased from 533MHz to 800MHz
  • L2 processor cache now 3MB instead of 2MB
  • System memory increased to 4GB from 2GB
  • Harddrive capacity now 160GB to 320GB instead of 120GB to 250GB
  • Wireless networking upgraded to draft 802.11n
  • ExpressCard slot now in standard configuration
