Toshiba announced its upcoming Folio 100 tablet computer today which is set for a Q4 release in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The Android-powered device will run version 2.2 and arrive preloaded with applications, including a web browser, eBook reader, office suite, notepad and Adobe Flash 10.1, among others. Access to further apps will be available through its Toshiba Market Place. For music, the Radio Place and Music Place act as the tablet's center for streaming and downloading.
To support such hardware, the Folio 100 has 16GB of built-in storage and an SD card slot. It also has a Nvidia TegraTM 2 processor and a maximum seven hours of battery life.
As for size , the tablet sports a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) capacitive multitouch screen and weighs in at 1.6 lbs. Other features include Bluetooth, Mobile Broadband for certain locations, and a 1.3 megapixel webcam.
Toshiba did not announce a US release date.
