Archos has just announced the Arnova 9 G2, the company’s latest addition to its line of budget tablets.
The 9.7-inch tablet will feature an IPS display with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768p, as well as a 5-point multitouch capacitive touch panel. Packing a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 single core processor, the Arnova 9 G2 will come loaded with 8GB of flash storage and will feature a microSD card slot, a USB port and a micro USB port. The tablet will run Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will offer stereo speakers, a built-in mic and a front-facing camera. Weighing in at 1.4 lbs, the Wi-Fi-only tablet will measure in at 9.4 x 7.2 x 0.5-inches.
While Archos hasn’t revealed a price for the device, its other 7, 8 and 10.1-inch tablets from its Arnova G2 collection usually sell for $250 or less.
