Update: ASUS has confirmed that it will begin singups for the GPS dongle on April 16. Prime owners will have to register on the ASUS website and ASUS claims it will take approximately two weeks before the dongles ship. There is no word from ASUS concerning price, if any. Also, ASUS has not yet revealed the actual dongle, so we do not know if it will attach via the quad-core tablet's pin connector.

ASUS has not forgotten about those Transformer Prime TF201 owners and their faulty tablet GPS functionality. After attempts at a software fix apparently did not resolve the GPS issue, which a teardown revealed was likely due to hardware design, ASUS will now pass out a free GPS dongle to current Prime owners.
According to emails leaked on the XDA developer forum from an ASUS product manager and an alleged tester, the dongle will look like the quad-core Prime’s latop dock hinge and plug into the Prime proprietary pin connector.
ASUS has yet to confirm the news, but the emails pin some time in mid-April as the release date.
