In addition, RIM promises additional features when the OS comes out of beta. More information and the download are available from RIM.

RIM released the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 earlier this year, and it's now apparently moving forward with version 2.1.
According to Michael Clewley, PlayBook product manager, RIM will start pushing the 2.1 beta within the next couple days, or the "end of may," as he claimed on Twitter. What's being included in the update has not been released at the moment, but if the leaked photo is indication of what's to come, PlayBook users may finally be able to view emails, contacts, and their calendar in portrait mode, and enlarge the text.
As with all other PlayBook updates, it should be available over the air. There is no word on when it will come out of beta and be available for the general public.
