Apple seems to have a lot of confidence in its next tablet -- the company has reportedly ordered millions of units, even though the device has yet to be announced.
The Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed sources in Asia, says that Apple has ordered over 10 million units from companies like Foxconn.
Production for this device -- which is generally called the iPad Mini -- supposedly started earlier this month, and it is expected to be unveiled next week.
More about the Apple iPad Mini
According to previous unconfirmed reports, Apple's next tablet will have a smaller screen than its predecessors -- 7.85 inches instead of 9.8 inches. It will supposedly be about the size of a Google Nexus 7, which has a 7-inch display.
Naturally, the iPad Mini will debut running Apple iOS 6, giving it Siri support. 4G LTE connectivity is expected to be an option on the more expensive versions. It will reportedly have both front- and rear-facing cameras and dual stereo speakers.
A price for this tablet is unknown, but it is rumored to cost at least $100 less than the most-recent full-sized Apple iPad.
