One of the first crop of tablets running Windows 8 RT can now be pre-ordered. The Asus Vivo Tab RT won't be available for a couple of weeks, however.
It is going to have 10.1-inch touchscreen, with a resolution of 1366 x 768.
At its heart will be NVIDIA's Tegra 3 1.3GHz quad-core chip, with 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage.
Asus is going to offer an optional QWERTY keyboard dock, which will also double as an additional battery.
Newegg is taking pre-orders for the Asus Vivo Tab RT with a price of $600. This online retailer says the tablet will be released on October 26, the same day that Windows 8 RT is introduced.
UPDATE
Staples is also taking pre-orders for this product. The keyboard dock is $170.
A version of this device with 4G LTE is going to be released by AT&T later this year.
