While it may not have been the biggest announcement at today's Apple Event consumers who enjoy reading on their Apple products will be happy to hear the iBooks is receiving a major update.
The free update will soon be available via the app store, and it will focus on providing new content sharing tools, better connectivity between devices, and the ability to read content with greater ease.
The major change coming to this update is the ability to enable a new continuous scroll option. The option will allow users to continuously read, without having to turn the next page on their virtual devices.
The iBook app will also offer enhanced iCloud capabilities, allowing users to not only share material between devices, but easily book mark progressions on one Apple device to resume progress on another.
Post-update iBooks 3.0 will also offer social integration, allowing users to copy quotes and automatically share them with friends via Twitter and Facebook. More users will be able to share than ever before thanks to apps ability to now support 40 language, including Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.
