Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Might Come to T-Mobile Next Week

Information leaking out of T-Mobile indicates that this U.S. carrier will soon replace the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with an updated version of this Android tablet.

A WiFi-only version of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 debuted months ago, but the one that's reportedly heading for T-Mobile will have built-in support for this telecom's 4G HSPA+ network, with speeds up to 42 Mbps.

The launch date for this tablet is going to be Nov. 11, if an unconfirmed report is correct. There's no word on pricing yet, but the product will probably cost about $500.

T-Mobile won't be the only option for getting the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. as Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint are also going to offer versions. These will support these carriers' 4G LTE networks.

As its name spells out, the device has a 10.1-inch touchscreen. This has a relatively-low 1280 x 800 resolution (149 ppi). On the inside is a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Other features include 8GB of on-board storage, a microSD memory card slot, and a 7000 mAh battery

When it debuts from all the top U.S. telecoms, the Tab 2 10.1 is going to run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), even though Samsung is working on a 4.1 upgrade for this tablet.
