With the holiday shopping season behind us, Sprint is holding a sale on its 4G LTE tablets that takes $100 off the price of three popular models.
There's an important caveat, though: to qualify for the discount, customers must either buy a smartphone or have bought one recently. The deal is open to anyone who has purchased a handset from Sprint since September 14.
Sprint does not subsidize tablets when purchased with service plans, so deals like this are the only way to reduce the prices of its offerings.
Included in this sale are the recently-released Apple iPad 4 (now $530), iPad mini (now $360), and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (now $400). All three can connect to Sprint's nascent 4G LTE network.
Rival AT&T has a similar deal.
