There's a new 7-inch tablet in town, and it goes by the name of the Asus MeMO Pad.
It will have entry-level specs, like a 1 GHz CPU, Android 4.1 (aka Jelly Bean), a 1024 x 600 display, 1GB of RAM, and either 8GB or 16GB of onboard storage. The tablet is also going to include a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB extra), as well as a micro USB port, and a front-facing, 1 megapixel camera for video chat.
Like most 7-inch tablets, one of the most appealing aspects that the MeMO Pad will have going for it is its price tag: the 8 GB model has an MSRP of $150.
Available in three different colors -- Sugar White, Titanium Gray, and Cherry Pink -- Asus has said that the MeMO Pad will be available this month, though it did not provide an exact date.
