Analysts just can't agree on when Apple is going to introduce the next iPad and iPad mini. The latest prediction says these won't be out until summer.
Apple's fourth-generation full-size tablet as well as its first mini one debuted in the fall, but those who are already looking ahead aren't seeing the same thing. Just last week, an analyst from Topeka Capital Markets went out on a limb to say that updated iPads of both sizes will be out in March.
Now, however, Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities predicts that the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 will come out sometime in the summer.
Kuo also thinks the second-gen iPad mini will get a retina display -- high-resolution screens have been a hallmark of the 9.7-inch iPads for years, but the mini doesn't have one.
In addition, he thinks that Apple's next full-size tablet will be slimmer than its predecessors.
