Apple is doubling the capacity of the largest iPad. A version with 128GB of storage is going to hit the market in a few days.
This will be a modified version of the tablet Apple introduced in the fall, the iPad 4. There are no changes other than in the amount of storage.
Apple pointed out that companies and individuals who regularly utilize their iPad to hold large amounts of data such as 3D CAD files, X-rays, film edits, music tracks, project blueprints, training videos, and service manuals can all benefit from having a higher-capacity.
Price and Availability
The new 128GB version of the fourth-generation iPad will be introduced on Tuesday, February 5, in black or white. All versions of the tablet will be sold through apple.com, Apple retail stores, and Apple Authorized Resellers.
The new high-capacity version is going to sell for $800 for the WiFi- only model and $930 for the one with both WiFi and cellular-wireless connectivity.
When this is released, there will be four versions of the iPad 4: 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Prices start at $500.
