Those who have been hoping for an iPad with loads of storage capacity don't have to wait any longer -- a version of this tablet with 128GB of internal capacity has just been released.
This is not a whole new version of Apple's 9.7-inch iPad, though. It is identical to the one that was introduced in the fall, just with more storage. There are no other changes.
Because Apple doesn't put memory card slots in its tablets, there is no easy way to expand the capacity of these devices. This is why many users prefer to get the version with the most storage they can get, especially if they want to carry around large amounts of video or other files.
Price and Availability
The new 128GB version of the fourth-generation iPad sells for $800 for the WiFi- only model, and $930 for the one with both WiFi and cellular-wireless connectivity.
As with other iPads, there are versions in black and white, and these are available from apple.com, Apple retail stores, and Apple Authorized Resellers.
There are now four versions of the iPad 4: 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Prices start at $500.
