VIDEO: MWC2013 - LG Tab-Book LTE Preview

The Tab-Book LTE starts out as a Windows 8 tablet, but a spring-loaded hinge pushes the display up to reveal a physical keyboard. 

We got some hands-on time with this computer at MWC this week, and in addition to writing down our first impressions, we also took some video:

More About the LG Tab-Book LTE

This tablet has an 11.6-inch IPS LED multitouch screen, with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It runs Windows 8 on an Intel Core i5 processor running at 1.8 GHz. There's 4GB of RAM and 120GB of storage before the operating system is installed.

Other features include Wi-Fi n, 4G LTE, and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. The Tab-Book offers a range of ports: one USB 3.0, one USB 2.0, an HDMI video-out port, and.a mini-RJ45 port, 

Overall, this tablet PC is 11.25 x 7.5 x 0.7 inches and 2.75 pounds.

"The Tab-Book is going to appeal to consumers who want the convenience of a tablet but also the productivity of a notebook and don't want to carry two devices all the time, said Il-geun Kwon, Senior Vice President and Head of the LG Home Entertainment Company's IT Business Unit. "Many other products that claim to do both require making too many sacrifices in performance and weight. We think we've hit the perfect balance here and with super fast LTE connectivity, we're delivering true convergence of computing and mobile devices."

This device was released in Korea this week, and while LG has said it's going to be available in other countries, it has not said when or where.
