Of course the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 is available from Amazon's website, but those who would like to try this tablet out before buying it can now find it in AT&T retail stores.
The telecom sells a version of this entertainment-oriented computer that can connect to its 4G LTE network, and it's this model that is on display starting today. This device has been available online since last year, but this is the first time users it has been on AT&T retail store shelves.
The 32 GB version of the Kindle Fire HD 4G LTE costs $400, while a 64GB version is $500. For a limited time, those who purchase the it with a two-year data contract will receive $150 off.
Those who already have an AT&T Mobile Share plan can add this tablet for $10 a month.

This tablet's 8.9-inch touchscreen has a 1920 x 1200 resolution with 254 ppi.
It runs a version of the Android operating system that has been so highly modified that it requires its own separate App Store.
Other features include dual stereo speakers with Dolby audio, a front-facing camera, Bluetooth connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi for up to 40% faster downloads, and an HDMI port.
