Street View allows users to view the world as if they were standing on the street. With the Android app, when users zoom into a specific area, they will see a little yellow man pop up in the corner of the screen, known as Pegman, which signals that Street View is available in that area. Just pick up Pegman and drop him on the desired street. You will immediately find yourself in Street View.
The app update also includes improved search and directions. Users can now view transit, walking, biking and driving directions in 3D.
The interface has now been streamlined. Users can easily view various Google Earth layers and 3D buildings, Wikipedia and Panoramio photos by clicking the Earth logo in the top left corner of the device.
Google Earth is available as a free download in the Google Play store.
