The regional carrier Cincinnati Bell is now offering the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, a high-end Android tablet.
A Wi-Fi-only version of this tablet debuted in the U.S. this spring. That version starts at $500. The model being offered by Cincinnati Bell also includes support for its 4G HSPA+ data network.

Sony claims this is the slimmest tablet in the world at just 0.27 inches (6.9mm). It has a 10.1 inch touchscreen at a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, and is water and dust-resistent (IP55 & IP57).
The Xperia Tablet Z runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) on a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 2GB of RAM. In addition to its 16GB/32GB of internal storage, a microSD slot adds additional capacity. Upgrades to Android 4.2 and 4.3 have been promised.
Other features include Bluetooth, DLNA, GPS, and NFC. There is an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 MP front one. It even features an IR port to allow it to be used as a universal remote.
