The iPhone 5s is going to be the first with the Apple A7 processor, which Apple says will have twice the performance of its predecessor.
Shin Jong-kyun, the head of Samsung's mobile business, was asked if his company would follow suit, and he said "Our next smartphones will have 64-bit processing functionality."
While this doesn't guarantee that future tablets from the Korean giant will use this processor, it seems likely that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 series will have one, in addition to the Samsung Galaxy V smartphone.
Previously, Samsung has been concentrating its efforts on building more processing cores into its chips -- its latest-generation Exynos Octa has 8 cores.
