Apple has launched its annual "12 Days of Gifts" app in the iTunes store. The app, formerly known as "12 Days of Christmas," does exactly what its name suggests. For each of the 12 days between December 26 and January 6, the iPad maker will use the app to give away a game, book, movie, song, book, or some other digital gift to iOS users, free of charge. Yes, even giant tech corporations can get in the giving mood during the holidays.
Apple has been running this giveaway for a few years now, but only in select European and Asian countries. This year marks the first time that the U.S. is included in the deals. However, tablet and phone users will need to make sure they're using iOS 7 to take advantage of the savings.
Apple isn't revealing exactly which products it'll be giving away during the 12 days -- but hey, nothing beats free stuff, right?
