Those looking for a good deal on the original Microsoft Surface Pro don't have to look too hard, as both the Microsoft Store and Best Buy are offering the version with 128GB of internal storage for only $500.
UPDATE: Both Best Buy's and Microsoft's sales are now over.
The Surface Pro debuted in February of last year, and was supplanted by the Surface Pro 2 in the fall. The latest model is very similar to its predecessor, but it includes an updated Intel "Haswell" processor that gives it significantly better performance and battery life. On the other hand, the 32GB version of the Surface Pro 2 is now twice as expensive as the original... for a short time, anyway
Those who are interested shouldn't dawdle, as both Best Buy and the Microsoft Store will end this sale on Saturday. The Windows 8.1 tablet can be purchased at the bargain price from Best Buy's webite or Microsoft's, as well as their retail stores.
Note: The Surface Pro is sold without an add-on keyboard -- this is an optional accessory. The tablet does come with a clip-on stylus though.
