Those in the market for a high-end Windows tablet might want to hold off a week or so.
But recent reports indicate that this won’t be the only device revealed at the event, with a new model running an intel i5 “Haswell” processor supposedly in the offing. No other details on this are available, and it could be just a speed-bumped version of the current Surface Pro 2 — the company has upgraded the Haswell processor in this tablet once already.
The lack of information on Microsoft’s plans has help foster speculation that this will be the hoped-for “Surface Pro Max” with a screen larger than the current model’s 10.6-inch display.
While the information on what’s going to be announced later this month is currently quite vague, it appears solid enough to make waiting until May 20 to decide on a Windows tablet a safe idea.
