Seattle Tops Chart of Most Un-Wired Cities

Intel has just released their list of most Un-wired cities in America and Seattle has taken the top spot away from San Francisco, last year's winner. Intel credits the continued growth of hotspots and WiFi usage to wireless enabled notebooks, PDAs, Tablet PCs, Smartphones and other mobile devices. Built-in WiFi is on the rise in all of these segments, and will even reach 100% saturation in laptops by 2007.

Dead Pixels on LCD Screens

LCD screens are generally the most expensive part of a laptop/Tablet PC. They're also the most likely part to contain noticeable flaws in the form of the dreaded dead pixels. Each manufacturer has their own policy on how many dead pixels warrants a return and replacement. The problem is, most people are not aware of this policy before they get their notebook or Tablet PC and falsely assume that one dead pixel is good enough to ask for a replacement, but this is generally not the case.
