Acer Iconia Tab A700 to Debut at CES 2012, On Shelves In March
One of Acer’s next tablet projects, the powerful Iconia Tab A700, is rumored to be making an appearance at next month’s CES 2012, with a release date chalked up for some time in March.
Russian tech website NoMobile.ru reports that the slimmed-down brother of the previously leaked A200 will be at the show next month, and that they are currently in possession of a non-functioning unit. The specs of the tablet are nothing short of impressive, as it will sport the next-gen Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, as well as a 10.1-inch display with a whopping 1920 x 1200 resolution.
Other specs include SIM, micro USB, and micro HDMI slots, a textured back with a 5 megapixel camera and built-in flash, an HD-capable front-facing camera, a rotation lock switch, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, and standard audio jack and volume rockers. The downside? It’s one hefty tablet, weighing in at 1.43 pounds, due in part to the 9800mAh battery, which is supposed to provide roughly 10 hours of battery life.
