Acer will officially unveil its tablet computers on November 23, according to Acer chief Gianfranco Lanci. Speaking with Dow Jones Newswires, the Acer exec claimed the company would unveil the tablets in New York along with new notebooks.
Rumors emerged in September indicating Acer is working on three Android tablets, each running Android 3.0, codenamed Gingerbread. The tablets will reportedly sport five, seven and ten-inch screens. The five-inch tablet will be modeled on the Dell Streak and support voice calling.
Rumors also indicated that Acer is working on a Windows 7 tablet scheduled to hit the market before the Android devices.
The Windows tablet is said to sport an Intel processor, and the Android tablets could either have a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor of Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset.
