Remember those Toshiba Smart Pad renders NotebookItalia posted a few weeks back? Well, the Italian gadget site has a new batch of images, which include a docking station, along with technical specs for the Tegra 2-powered Android tablet they are now reportedly calling the Toshiba Tablet Folio 100.
According to the report, the Toshiba tablet will run Android 2.2 and sport a Nvidia Tegra 2 processer. It will have a multitouch 10.1-inch WSVGA (1024 x 600 pixel) display with two stereo speakers. For storage, it will have 16GB of internal memory and an SD card slot up to an additional 32GB. It will support 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G, Flash, and have the Opera Mobile Browser as well as a 1.3 MP webcam.
The report also claims the device will run up to 7 hours with mixed use from a fully charged battery and fully boot in less than 30 seconds. Toshiba will cram all this into a device that weighs less than 1.7 pounds.
Earlier this summer, a Toshiba exec wielded what he called a Smart Pad a conference celebrating 25 years of Toshiba laptops that closely resembled the leaked Folio 100 images. Also, DigiTimes reported that Toshiba could unveil their Smart Pad tablet at IFA in Berlin, which kicks off later this week.
