Earlier today at the Mobile World Conference, Adobe released the first application from its Adobe Touch Apps suite: Photoshop Touch.
For $9.99, iPad 2 users can create layered images from several different photos, make edits, touch up photos, apply pro-style effects, and carry out other tasks directly on their tablet. The app also includes features such as the Scribble Selection Tool that allows users to easily extract objects from an image by simply scribbling on what to keep and, then, remove. It also comes with Refine Edge technology, which helps make soft-edged areas or assets easier to select. Photoshop Touch is also Facebook and Google Image Search integrated, giving users and outlet through which they can share their work.
Adobe Photoshop Touch is part of the Adobe Touch Apps suite that is expected to be released in its entirety by the end of the year. Other apps in the suite include Adobe Collage for moodboards, Adobe Debut for presenting and reviewing creative work, Adobe Ideas for sketching, Adobe Kuler for exploring color themes, and Adobe Proto for website and mobile app prototyping.
Customers can purchase the application today in the App Store.
