Apple Could Be Testing Some Additional Features for iOS 7

Apple might not have revealed all of the new features of iOS 7 when it was announced last week. A developer has found some hidden features in the beta of this upcoming version.

Hidden Settings in Apple IOS 7These aren’t currently implemented, but Hamza Sood claims to have found a way to activate them.

Sood says he discovered support for putting a folder full of apps inside another one, which would give users an additional option for organizing all the software stored on their iPad. This is in addition to the support for adding far more apps to folders which Apple has definitely added to iOS 7.

The developer also says he found support for closing folders with a pinching gesture.

Another feature Sood says he was able to activate in the beta was a system for hiding unwanted pre-installed apps — which could be convenient as these can’t be deleted.

He was also able to activate controls for the way this operating system will blur objects when they are behind other things.

There are other hidden settings as well, but these mostly apply to the iPhone.

At this point, it’s not clear whether Apple will make these features part of iOS 7 when it is released this fall, or if they will be removed before the launch.
