In early December, news broke from an unconfirmed report that Apple and Foxconn were developing at many as five 12.9-inch iPad prototypes, with a potential release date of two larger tablets sometime in 2014. Now, according to an unconfirmed report, sources report that Apple plans to release a 12.9-inch tablet by the end of the third quarter or later.
The 12.9-inch iPad will potentially come equipped with a 4K screen, double that of the iPad Air, which packs 2000 pixels horizontally. Like Samsung, Apple is expected to release this big devices to target business users that need more screen real estate on their devices..
