Year after year, Apple product cases leak and supposedly reveal new device designs, and 2012 is no exception as a case producer in China has begun selling cases for a device called the “iPad 2s”.
Chinee, who also created cases for the Motorola Xoom and the Samsung Galaxy Tab, has released a case for a device dubbed the iPad 2s. According to Chinee, these new cases will fit a design that is 1mm thicker than the iPad 2. Rumors regarding the design of the next-generation iPad suggest that it will be slightly thicker to incorporate a higher resolution display, and it will contain a front-facing Facetime HD camera as well as an improved rear-facing camera. The case developed by Chinee seems to have camera holes for a slightly bigger rear-facing lens.
The upcoming iPad is also rumored to sport a quad-core processor, Siri support and LTE network capabilities.
Take it with a grain of salt since many of the “iPhone 5” cases developed and released before the iPhone 4s ended up being off the mark. Many of these rumored iPad 2s/3 cases may be a case of jumping the gun.
