Apple iPad Becomes a Board Game in GameChanger

Identity Games has just announced its latest board game, though unlike that dusty old Monopoly board, this one will interact with your iPad.

GameChanger, an app-based accessory made for the iPad, features interactive animation and sound, while serving as a dock for the tablet. Each game has its own skin, which transforms the accessory into an electronic game board, though users must download the free app in order to play. Games allow up to four players, while the pieces interact with the iPad, identifying whose turn it is. The tablet also asks questions and assigns tasks, in addition to acting as a spinning wheel, so dice and other game extras are not necessary.

GameChanger initially comes with game skins for The Magic School Bus and AnimalMania, while the company promises more skins to come this month. The electronic board game costs $80 and is available now.
