When Apple introduced the iPad mini last fall, some predicted this 7.9-inch model would reduce sales of the 9.7-inch version. It appears these predictions are bearing out.
At the same time, analysts are saying demand for the smaller version of Apple’s Tablet remains strong.
Before the launch of the iPad mini, those who wanted the most recent Apple Tablet had to pay at least $500. The smaller version, on the other hand, starts at $330.
This is expected to have a dramatic effect on Apple’s tablet sales. As Reuters pointed out, the market analyst firm BNP Paribas is predicting that the breakdown is going to be 40% iPad and 60% iPad mini.
