Apple Makes App Store Purchases More Secure with Two-step Verification

by Reads (2,913)

Those who are concerned about someone making improper use of their iTunes account can now turn on two-step verification, making purchases more secure.

With this optional system, whenever the user connects to the App Store or iTunes from a new device, Apple will send a 4-digit code to a second device the user has previously established that they control, like a smartphone, tablet or PC. The user will then need to enter that code in order for the purchase to go through.
