With the speculated announcement of the iPad 3 just weeks away, it looks like Apple is hard at work selecting apps to show off at its events and commercials.
Sources have told the folks at The Next Web that the company is rushing to line up apps that will be used during the onstage demonstrations. Apple has a long history of choosing apps that will show off the hardware and processing power of the device. When the iPad 2 was shown to the public, Apple featured its Garage Band and Photo Booth apps. At the iPhone 4S announcement, Apple used one of the most popular games on the iPhone, Infinity Blade 2, to highlight its graphical capabilities.
There are no hints to what app Apple will be using at the iPad 3 reveal, but most are leaning towards an app that can emphasize the iPad 3’s rumored high-resolution, possible Retina-like, display.
In addition, Apple is also sending out apps to its advertising partner, TWBA/Chiat/Day, to possibly be used in iPad 3 commercial spots.
