The 2006 “CEATEC” (Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies) is underway in Japan. This is one of the biggest electronics and gadget shows in Asia. Wish we could say we are there, but we are missing out on all the toys and living vicariously through others who are at the epicenter of the glamorous gadgetry!
On the opening day at CEATEC in Japan Fujitsu displayed a very cool looking sci-fi type of concept PC that runs Windows XP Tablet PC Edition. This Apple-esque art deco Tablet PC looks to be an exceptional piece of eye candy.
With the slot loading optical drive, backlit keyboard and glossy chassis, Fujitsu’s concept tablet looks to be heavily inspired by Apple’s MacBook product line. It also appears that Fujitsu engineers took the concept a few steps in a new direction, incorporating what looks to be a nice contrast of glossy grey and white tones, soft, but defined edges – some original touches by Fujitsu not found on Apple’s laptops. And besides, this baby has a touchscreen, something we still have yet to see from Cupertino, CA as of yet.
