It seems Asus has decided to update the famous R2 UMPC. Information on their new R3 UMPC has been leaking all over the Web from the Intel Developer Forum (IDF). Unfortunately no concrete specs have been released yet, just a few basic features.
There is no word on which variation of Intel’s Menlow platform it’ll be running or even a price range. From the looks of it though, the R3 will have a 4.8-inch screen with 1024 x 600 resolution, a fingerprint reader, webcam and built-in GPS.
Hopefully it will sport a nice hard drive, maybe even SSD? You pack all these features into such a small design and you will have the ultimate road warrior.
