ASUS is the first tablet manufacturer out of the gate for Computex 2011, releasing several close-ups of a new device that will be debuted at the popular technology expo. This first collection of images and marketing materials is exceptionally vague as ASUS opted for mystery and anticipation.
ASUS announced a ton of tablets at CES in January, but of the devices, which include the Eee Pad Slider, Transformer, and MeMO, only the Windows 7 Eee Slate EP121 and ASUS Eee Pad Transformer have been released.
No hardware specs of the new device were announced, nor did ASUS in any way indicate what the OS would be. So at the moment, the primary details of the upcoming tablet that can be gained from the current crop of images is that it will be black and silver and say ASUS on it.
ASUS also raised interest with an ad for the device (featured above) that reads: “Break the Rules: Pad or Phone? Computex 2011.” If any more details on the device arise before Computex, we’ll be sure to let you know. Otherwise a more complete picture can be expected when Computex 2011 kicks off on May 31 in Taipei, and the full set of teaser images can be seen below.
