The Asus Transformer Book Trio will be an innovative device designed to be a tablet, laptop, and desktop. It will give users the option of easily switching between Microsoft Windows 8 and Google Android.

Asus Transformer Book TrioThe device starts out as a tablet with an 11.6-inch, 1920 x 1080-pixel screen running Android on a 2.0GHz Intel Atom Z2580 processor with up to 64GB storage.

When this is placed into the keyboard dock, Windows 8 becomes an option. This dock has its own Intel Core i7 processor, keyboard, and 750GB hard drive.

Even with the tablet disconnected, an external monitor can be connected to the dock to make a desktop PC.

Despite the different operating systems, the Transformer Book Trio has been designed to smoothly transition between modes, allowing users to sync data or continue to surf the webpage they’re on even when moving from notebook to tablet mode.

Asus has not yet revealed when this computer is going to be released, or what it is going to cost.

It was unveiiled at Computex 2013, along with a number of other Asus tabets.
