AT&T Extends $100-Off Tablet Sale to Mid-February

by Reads (2,353)

Those who buy a tablet from AT&T and sign up for a wireless service contract can get $100 off the price of the device. This deal has been going on since the fall, and has now been extended another month.

AT&T no longer subsidizes tablets when purchased with service contracts, the way it does phones. However, it does offer special deals like this one.

AT&TThe telecom has both the Apple iPad and iPad mini, as well as Android tablets from Samsung and HTC. There’s also a pair of tablets running Windows RT from Samsung and Asus. All off these qualify for this offer.

This $100-off deal also includes the Galaxy Nexus 7, even though this model isn’t listed on its website. It must be purchased through the Google Play store.

More Sale Details

Those who sign up for a AT&T two-year Mobile Share plan and add a tablet to it qualify for $100 off the cost of this device. This does not interfere with the subsidy off the price of a smartphone the customer can also get for signing the wireless service contract.

Mobile Share plans give users an allotment of data that several devices can pull from. The options are: $15 for 250MB, $30 for 3GB, and $50 for 5GB. Subscribers have to pay an additional amount for each device they make part of the plan — adding a tablet is $10 a month.

It should be noted that while this offer is available, the AT&T website lists the prices of all its tablets with the assumption that customers are going to buy the device with service. This has the effect of reducing the listed prices by $100.
