Samsung and Barnes & Noble have partnered again to launch a 10.1-inch version of the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook. The device, which is available now in black for $299.99, is a larger sibling to the 7-inch version launched in August.
The larger version of Tab 4 Nook is essentially the same device as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, just with a Nook overlay from Barnes & Noble. That means the tablet has a 1280×800 resolution, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 3 megapixel rear-facing camera, 16 GB of onboard storage, and a microSD slot for expandable storage.
The Nook ebook store is pre-installed on the device, but users also get the Google Play store that comes standard on all Android devices for apps, music, movies, and more. We took a closer look at the 7-inch model earlier this year and found it to be a great device for heavy Nook users looking to upgrade, but found that anyone looking for a standard Android tablet may want to look elsewhere.
The standard 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, without the Nook overlay, is available for $299.99 if you just want an Android tablet.
