The NOOK Simple Touch Reader with GlowLight is now shipping for those that pre-ordered it, and it will be available on store shelves as early as the beginning of May. However, Barnes & Noble is warning of limited quantities due to high demand.
Barnes & Noble boasts that this eReader will be the first of its kind to have the patent-pending light technology, GlowLight, which emits a soft, adjustable glow from the screen, allowing users to read both in the dark and in the sun. The NOOK Simple Touch eReader also uses eInk technology to give readers a paper-like reading experience.
The eReader will be sold for $139 and can still be pre-ordered today with free shipping. If you’re skeptical about the device, Barnes & Noble will be allowing users to demo the device in store. The company will also set up devices and take pre-orders on site for those who are impressed by the NOOK Simple Touch eReader.
