Breakthrough Storyboarding and Animation Hits the Tablet PC
As a graphic designer (one of my other lives), I have been eagerly awaiting some cool design software to emerge that uses the full capabilities of the Tablet PC. Recently I came across news of the new Mirage Nomad storyboarding and animation software by Bauhaus Software. This versatile package allows the artist to work with various styles of 2D animation and doubles as a complete storyboarding solution as well. To add even further to the coolness factor, this solution is also completely portable for designers, so they can take a “virtual studio” just about anywhere.
Outside of the benefit of the raw portability that this solution offers, the software has also been thoughfully designed with a friendly interface that artists are accustomed to working with. As the image above illustrates, the designer/artist will feel immediately familiar with Nomad’s interface, as it cleverly mimics tools of the trade digitally.
Apparently Bahaus Software is offering a complete package that includes Mirage Nomad bundled with a Motion LE 1600 Tablet PC.
