When Michael Dell showed off a seven-inch Android tablet at an Oracle conference, few would have thought the device was close to release. But according to Dell Greater China President Amit Midha, the company plans to launch the device in a few weeks and introduce other devices, including a ten-inch tablet and three and four-inch units within six to 12 months, the Wall Street Journal Reports.
“It was showed off at Oracle World by Michael last week and we’ll be launching very, very soon, within the next few weeks,” Midha said in an interview. “In fact, very much in the near future we’ll be launching the seven-inch tablet as well as the additional three-inch product,” he later added.
Midha only confirmed that the seven-inch tablet will run the Google Android OS, and added that Dell was looking at Windows and the Goolge Chrome OS for future devices.
