Dell just gave the world a sneak peek at an upcoming Windows 8.1 tablet at the Intel Developer Forum. This will be aimed at consumers as well as business users.
A recent statement from a Dell executive showed that this company’s main focus is on the enterprise, but apparently not its whole focus.
Dell VP Neil Hand took to the stage at IFA in San Francisco today to show off a tablet that will be part of the Venue series — a series that was composed of smartphones before Dell got out of that market last year.
Hand gave only a few details on this upcoming model — it is going to have an 8-inch screen, and run Windows 8.1 on an Intel quad-core Atom “Bay Trail” Z3700 processor. The device is also going to have some form of cellular-wireless connectivity.
Dell has promised to do a full reveal of the Venue tablet at a press event on October 2.
