Everything You Need to Know About the Google Nexus 10

Even though Google had to cancel its press event today, the company went ahead and announced the Nexus 10, which is going to debut running Android 4.2.

Google Nexus 10The original Nexus tablet that debuted over the summer has a 7-inch screen, but the next model will be a larger option: a 10.1-inch display with a 2560-by-1600 pixel (300ppi) resolution.

It is going to be made by Samsung, and run the latest version of Google’s mobile OS on a dual-core 1.7GHz Samsung Exynos chipset, with 2GB of RAM.

Google touts the Nexus 10’s shareablity. Thanks to Android 4.2, it will be ablet handle multiple users, and switch between them from the lockscreen.

This device is going to come with a powerful battery good for up to 9 hours of video playback or more than 500 hours of standby time. Other features will include NFC and a 5-megapixel camera

Price and Availability

There will be two versions: a 16GB one will sell for $400, while a 32GB one will go for $500. There will be no 4G-enabled versions.

These will be available on Nov. 13 in the Google Play Store in the U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada, and Japan.

If you’re looking for something smaller, Google also launched updated versions of the Nexus 7 today.
