Flyer and Transformer Invade YouTube

A couple of anticipated new tablets are making the rounds on YouTube, with a collection of promotional videos showcasing the HTC Flyer and ASUS Eee Pad Transformer.

HTC kicks off this showcase with a video highlighting the features of the Flyer, especially its natural pen interaction with HTC Scribe Technology and its Sense UI.

This extensive overview of the Flyer, the counterpart to the HTC EVO View that we saw at CTIA, goes much further than just discussing the tablet’s pen technology, also underscoring the Flyer’s HTML 5 and Flash support, business applications, and camera/video chat capabilities.

Fully embracing the lighter side of promotional YouTube videos for tablets, ASUS has developed a set of Big Bang Theory themed videos advertising the Eee Pad Transformer. The Transformer, a netbook-tablet hybrid that recently debuted in Taiwan, features a removable keyboard dock that gives it enhanced capabilities as a media creation device.

The videos promoting the Transformer aren’t particularly funny, but if you can get behind high-production, completely ridiculous YouTube videos that feature a cast full of people with a range of funny accents (and, really, who can’t get behind that?), then you’re in for some serious entertainment.

This first video highlights the Eee Pad Transformer’s gaming capabilities and Android Honeycomb OS, and is rivaled only by the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine in terms of bizarre musical scenes.

The second video from ASUS highlights the Transformer’s connectivity with its USB port and SD card slot, and features some of the most awkward male-female interaction ever captured on camera.
