With only a tweet to herald its arrival, Fujitsu unveiled their new LifeBook TH700 Tablet PC, announcing the news on Twitter late last week. Priced $1,150 at launch, the LifeBook TH700 is Fujitsu’s most competitively priced tablet PC and seems positioned as an entry-level alternative to the $1,750 T730.
The LifeBook TH700 is powered by an Intel i3-350M 2.26 GHz processor with a 3MB LC cache and runs the 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium OS. It has a 12.1-inch WXGA LED backlit display and sports dual digitizers for capacitive touch and pen input.
Other goodies include a built-in webcam and dual digital array mics for video conferencing, 4GB of dual channel DDR3 SDRAM, 320GB SATA 5,400 rpm HDD and b/g/n WiFi support.
The unit itself has a bi-directional display hinge and modular bay battery, as well as a spill resistant keyboard and HDMI port.
The TH700 is currently available on the Fujitsu website. Hurry, because Fujitsu is now offering a $50 mail-in rebate.
