The semi-rugged GD3015 tablet barely tips the scale compared to some of its other rough-and-tough brethren, weighing in at 2.7 pounds while sporting a 10.4-inch “sunlight-viewable” touchscreen. Running Microsoft Windows 7 and powered by an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor, other features of the GD3015 include 2 GB of RAM; WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3G connectivity; a security chip and authentication software; and 10 various ports including USB 2.0, RS232, and VGA. Storage includes a 160 GB HDD and an 8 GB compact Flash card, with a 64 GB SSD option.
The elements are no match for the GD3015, as it is IP54 compliant for dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810F compliant for shock, vibration, rain, sand, and dust. The list price of the GD3015 starts at $2,400 and it is available now.
