HP Releases webOS Update for TouchPad

HP has just released an over-the-air update for webOS on the TouchPad, bringing the ability to use the tablet with non-HP phones, among other improvements. 

HP TouchPadThe webOS 3.1 update brings a new camera app, improved messaging, and tweaks to the UI in a few places, according to a press release. As previously mentioned, owners of the TouchPad will now be able to answer calls on their HP tablets, after pairing their phones to the webOS device. In addition, pairing with non-webOS Bluetooth keyboards has also been streamlined. 

The upgrade also brings support for OGG Vorbis music files and online/offline messaging status support. HP claims users will also experience a significant performance boost and enhancements in Flash and Skype support.
